Why should I drink alkaline water?
Mineralized, alkaline water has a number of health benefits that will help you achieve and maintain optimal health.

Does the Gravity Water System filter fluoride?
Yes. The Gravity Water System does filter fluoride when the "Fluoride Filter" is installed. The Gravity Water System comes with a Fluoride Filter upon purchase. When it is time to replace the central filter (in 4-6 months), you can choose to buy a replacement Fluoride Filter, or purchase a 5-stage Filter. The 5-stage Filter and Fluoride Filter are very similar, however only the Fluoride Filter will reduce up to 98% of fluoride.

This filter makes my gross old apartment tap water taste clean and fresh. One thing I really like about it is that it filters FAST. Seems like it is a lot faster than other water filters I've used, but it's still able to remove chlorine and that dirty-old-apartment-pipe taste. Not sure how much difference alkalinity really makes but I'm sure it doesn't hurt.

What pH does this product raise the water to?
This water filter will raise the pH around 1.5 - 2.0 units above the pH of the water that you are filtering. Many sources of tap water are neutral (pH 7.0). Municipalities keep city water pH neutral because it extends the service life of the water distribution system. The pH of Santevia water will be around 8.5 - 9.0.

Which minerals does this add?
We add healthy minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and other trace minerals. This raises the pH, alkalinity, and makes the water taste great.
How long does the Gravity Water System filter last?
Each filter within the Gravity Water System has a different lifespan:
- Ceramic Pre-filter: Up to one year
- 5-stage Filter: 6 months (1,800 L or 475 GAL)
- Fluoride Filter: 4 months (1,200 L or 317 GAL)
- Mineral Stones: Up to two years

The 5-stage Filter is not included in the purchase of the Gravity Water System but is available as a replacement filter. The 5-stage Filter can be used in the Gravity Water System instead of the Fluoride Filter.
