The Santevia is a good filtration system. My first purchase lasted for many years without any issue. I gave that away when I got a second (brand new unopened) Santevia system as a gift. It was a disaster as it water kept leaking from the tank. I contacted Santevia and was advised the cause of the leak was due to trapped air bubble in the filtration cartridge. To resolve the issue I was told to let water run continuously through the cartridge for 5 minutes to remove the air bubble. I did that and the leak stopped. 2 weeks later it leaked again. I thought it was caused by a defective cartridge connector and the middle ring. I replaced both parts but leak continued. This was getting super frustrating. As a last resort, I replaced the original filter cartridge even though it was supposed to last for 6 months but I only used it for 2 months. My filtration system is working fine now. No leaks. Turns out it was a defective filter cartridge that was causinge so much grief. I shouldn't have spent the money to buy the Connector and Middle Ring as that was not the cause of the leak. It would have been a better experience if Santevia had replaced the filter cartridge from the moment they're aware of the leak issue. Thanks for asking.
