We recommend routine cleaning weekly.
The Power Stick increases the pH of water by about 1.5-2 units on the pH scale. Results may vary depending on the source water.
We recommend a liquid pH testing solution, such as the Santevia Water pH Test Kit, or an electronic instrument. Note: you cannot use pH litmus paper to test water. Litmus paper test strips are typically used for mixed liquids such as blood, urine, or saliva but are not very accurate when measuring the pH of plain water. In addition, if the litmus paper is not formulated to check for mineral content (calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, etc.) which is what makes the Santevia water alkaline, hence, you will get a "neutral" or non-result. Expected results are a pH increase by about 1.5-2 units on the pH scale. Results may vary depending on the source water.
The Power Stick and Recovery Stick both reduce chlorine and make water alkaline. The Power Stick adds slightly more electrolytes into the water - the perfect hydration solution for a pre-workout boost of energy.
Unlike the Power Stick, The Recovery Stick adds antioxidants to the water - this is your post-workout hydration hero. Fight inflammation and recover quicker using this convenient on-the-go filter.
Yes, however, if you leave your water in the bottle for a long period of time (over 48 hours), the mineral taste may become too strong. At this point, we recommended discarding the water and refilling your bottle.
Yes, however, the Santevia Power Stick is designed and tested within a size range of 500-700 ml. It is not designed to be used in larger containers, thus we cannot guarantee pH levels or level of filtration. Results may vary.
The Power Stick employs bioceramic balls that releases minerals to the water. The primary component of the bioceramic balls in the Power Stick is calcium. The cloudiness is caused by over-boiling of the stick in water. The high temperature can damage the calcium coating of the bioceramic balls resulting in calcium solids dispersed in the water. We recommend only a short immersion of the Power Stick in boiling water for sanitation of less than one minute. The calcium solids that makes the water cloudy are not harmful for ingestion. However, we do not recommend prolonged use of a Power Stick that causes cloudiness. Please obtain a new Power Stick at your earliest convenience.
